DAY 1: Flight to Rome & ship departs 8pm
You will be welcomed by your friendly tour guide at Dublin Airport before flying to Rome. We will board the impressively luxurious Symphony of the Seas cruise ship at the port of Civitavecchia. A town that has amazing sights to see including Michelangelo Fort, the National Archaeological Museum & Terme Taurine ruins of a Roman thermal bath.
DAY 2: Arrives Capri, Naples, Italy at 7am & Departing 7pm
Our Next Port of call is the beautiful Island of Capri in Italy’s Bay of Naples, which is famed for its rugged landscape, natural sites including the Blue Grotto and its incredible shopping. Capri is a prime location for cruises in the Mediterranean Sea and a perfect stop to spend the day exploring or relaxing.
DAY 3: Cruising the Beautiful Mediterranean Sea
Today the Symphony of the Seas will spend the day at sea giving you a fantastic opportunity to take in everything the Oasis-class cruise ship has to offer. This cruise ship is closer to a floating city than a ship with almost 2000 crew operating 16 decks for guest use, 22 restaurants, 4 pools and much more.
DAY 4: Arriving Barcelona, Spain at 5am & Departing 6pm
Once we leave the hotel this morning we will take in the amazing Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel, renowned for its ceiling famously painted by Michelangelo over five years including 343 figures. Considered to be one of the greatest pieces of art created and one of the highlights of this amazing tour. After this experience, you will be given the afternoon free to explore at your leisure.
DAY 5: Palma de Mallorca, Spain at 8am & Departing at 4pm
Palma is a resort city and capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca, it is home to the massive Santa María cathedral, a Gothic landmark that towers over the city of Palma. The city is flanked by both a medieval fortress on a nearby hill and a Moorish-style Arab fortress converted to a royal residence.
DAY 6: Arriving Marseilles, France at 9am & Departing 6pm
Marseilles is the oldest city in France making it an amazing historical city to enjoy from the ancient Greek harbor to Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde which is a Romanesque-Byzantine church. The city is also famous for its boutiques, cafes, bars and galleries.
DAY 7: Arriving La Spezia, Florence, Italy at 8:30am & Departing 8:30pm
Once docked in La Spezia you will be free to explore Pisa which is famous for its Leaning Tower of Pisa and the beautiful Florence, capital Tuscany and home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture.
DAY 8: Arriving Civitavecchia, Italy followed by a walking tour of Rome before setting off home
Once we arrive back in Civitavecchia Italy, we will disembark the Symphony of the Seas one last time before enjoying a leisurely walking tour of Rome. Once we are finished our Mediterranean adventure we will board a plane back home to Ireland.
