DAY 1: Travel to Donegal, Villa Rose Hotel Ballybofey
Today we will board our luxury coach at one of our pick-up points and make our way to beautiful Donegal to the renowned Villa Rose Hotel & V Spa Ballybofey. This fantastic 4 Star, family-run hotel has won awards for both its hospitality and its spa. Once we arrive you will be able to relax and rest before enjoying a delightful dinner followed by live entertainment.
DAY 2: Donegal Bay Water Bus, Beleek Pottery & Donegal Town
We will begin with another gorgeous breakfast, after which we will embark on the Donegal Bay Water Bus, touring the beautiful waters and islands of the estuary of the River Eske. In the afternoon we will travel to Belleek Pottery where you will get a guided tour to see behind the scenes of one of Ireland’s most famous potteries, visitors have been coming to Belleek Pottery since 1857 to find out how the expert craftsmen create these beautiful pieces. From here we will wander into Donegal town to give you time to enjoy the town grab some food and do some shopping. We will again enjoy live entertainment tonight.
DAY 3: Wild Ireland & Letterkenny Town
We will begin our day with Wild Ireland located on the Inishowen Peninsula which is an animal sanctuary for animals which have been exploited and abused in circuses, laboratories, and illegal pet trade. This rescue centre has bears, wolves, lynxes, wild boars and more. In the afternoon you will be given free time to shop, explore and take in the beautiful town of Letterkenny. All this will again be followed by another night of live entertainment.
DAY 4: Tour of Derry & Derry Peace Wall
A special day today as we visit the historical city of Derry to take a guided tour from Paul Hume, the nephew of the late John Hume, to see the many points of interest that this storied city has to offer. We will visit Derry’s last remaining Peace Wall which is now one of the city’s latest tourist attractions following the erection of a series of murals. This will be a day to remember those who struggled through the troubles in Northern Ireland and see just how far they have come from the difficult times of the second half of the 20th century. Once we return to Donegal we will have our final night of music and entertainment before beginning our journey home tomorrow.
DAY 5: Travel Home
Today after our last wonderful breakfast in Donegal we will begin our journey back to the original pick up points, with a stop along the way to grab something to eat and stretch your legs.
