DAY 1: Lourdes, Grotto, Basilicas, Stations of the Cross & Baths
You will be welcomed by your friendly tour guide at Dublin Airport before flying to Lourdes and transfering to the luxury Lourdes Hotel. Once checked in you will visit the Grotto, Basilicas, Stations of the Cross and also the world famous baths where many miracles have been attributed to bathing in or drinking the water as well as to participating in the Eucharistic Procession and Adoration.
DAY 2: Life of St. Bernadette.
On the second day of your tour you will get to walk in the footsteps of the great St. Bernadette, visiting stunning locations around Lourdes associated with the life of St. Bernadette. From here, you will have the afternoon to explore and take in everything this wonderful part of the world has to offer, be that attending masses and other ceremonies, including candlelight procession service or sightseeing the impressive architecture and surroundings of Lourdes.
DAY 3: Bordeaux & Biarritz
This morning you will depart the beautiful Lourdes en route to Bordeaux stopping in Biarritz to enjoy lunch at your own expense and explore the elegant seaside town before settling into your hotel in Bordeaux.
DAY 4: Cite du Vin & Board River Cruise
This morning begins with a tour of the fantastic Wine and Trade Museum followed by free time to explore. In the afternoon we will visit the Cite du Vin, an interactive experience and museum focused on the theme of wine, including wine tasting. From here we will Board a River Cruise at Cite du Vin for a 90-minute tour including more wine tasting.
DAY 5: Paris, the Louvre, the Orangerie Museum, the Opera Garnier & the Arc de Triomphe
After we check out of our hotel we will be taking the TGV high-speed train to Paris. We will explore the romantic city in a private walking tour with a local English-speaking guide who will introduce you to the most famous Parisian highlights, such as the Place de la Concorde, the glass pyramid of the Louvre, the Orangerie Museum, the Opera Garnier, the Arc de Triomphe, the Vendôme Square and many other surprises along the way. After allowing time for you to find somewhere to get some lunch we will visit the Louvre the world’s most-visited museum home of the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and Liberty Leading the People, to name a few.
DAY 6: Bateaux Mouches River Cruise, Montmartre & Place du Tertre
After a delectable breakfast we will start our day with a cruise on the River Seine with Bateaux Mouches to take in the beautiful historic Paris city followed by visiting Montmartre & Sacre Couer to explore the beautiful sights of Montmartre and the white domed basilica of the Sacré Coeur. After this we will walk the Place du Tertre where you will see the artists and portrait painters at work and there will be an option of a Moulin Rouge Dinner and Show at own expense (€235pp).
DAY 7: Eiffel Tower & Freetime
Free time at the Eiffel tower with the option to purchase tickets to enter. We will have the afternoon free to explore the city at your Leisure.
DAY 8: Guided visit of the Château & Gardens of Versailles and Home
Before saying goodbye to France we will experience a guided visit of the Château & Gardens of Versailles followed by free time for you to grab a bite to eat and explore the beautiful Versailles.
