Camino ITINERARY

DAY 1: Start your Camino journey

After your flight to Santiago de Compostela – Rosalia de Castro Airport, the group will meet the
guide at the arrivals hall and travel to the hotel in Lugo city where you will be staying for three
nights. Where you will have time to explore the beautiful sights

DAY 2: Walking from Sarria to Portomarin 

After breakfast, the group will travel by bus to the town of Sarria to start the Camino walk. Sarria
is a small market town and the most popular starting point for the Camino de Santiago. Today
you will walk 22kms from Sarria to Portomarin. It is a relatively easy stretch of the Camino trail,
taking in forest tracks and quiet country roads. After a little time to wander around Portomarin,
the group will be collected and travel to the hotel in Lugo. The city has plenty of amazing
restaurants for you to explore at leisure over the remaining evenings in Lugo

DAY 3: Walking from
Portomarin to Palas de Rei

After breakfast, the group will be picked up at the hotel in Lugo and travel back to Portomarin to continue the journey. Today’s stage is 24kms long, leaving Portomarin and the river Miño behind and walking across the countryside to the town of Palas de Rei. After spending some time exploring the town of Palas de Rei, the bus will collect the group again and travel back to the hotel in Lugo (approximately 30 minutes).

DAY 4: Walking from Palas
de Rei to Arzúa

This morning the group will be picked up after breakfast to continue the Camino walk from Palas de Rei a Arzúa.At 29kms, the longest walking stage of the week awaits today, however, the path is downhill for most of the day with just a few ascents. Halfway to Arzúa,, you’ll find the market town of Melide, which is a perfect place to stop for lunch. After lunch we will continue our journey to Arzúa, once we arrive you will have time to relax and explore for a bit, even try some of the local cheeses, before being picked up and returning to your hotel in Lugo.

DAY 5: Walking from Arzúa
to O Pedrouzo

Today the group will check out of the hotel in Lugo and be picked up after breakfast to continue the Camino walk from Arzúa to Pedrouzo. Wonderful forest tracks, quiet country roads and farmland make our Camino path for the day.Our finish line is the village of O Pedrouzo, where the group will be picked up and travel to the hotel in Santiago de Compostela. The city has plenty of amazing restaurants of which you can explore at your leisure this evening.

DAY 6: Walking from O
Pedrouzo to Santiago

Today will be the last day of walking along the magnificent Camion pilgrimage and will be a day to remember as you move out of beautiful forests into Santiago’s Old Town and reach the wonderful Obradoiro Square. The excitement and joy of all pilgrims is palpable. Walking into Orbadoiro Square, you will finally reach Santiago Cathedral where the atmosphere of exhilaration and jubilation is something special, a memory that you will treasure forever. Enjoy and savor this moment, you have arrived and you will receive your certificate from the Pilgrim office.

DAY 7: Exploring Santiago
de Compostela

Today, you will have the day free to explore Santiago de Compostela at your own pace. The city has been a destination for pilgrims for centuries and the capital of Galicia is a city full of wonders, with beautiful cobbled squares, arched streets and cozy nooks and crannies. Santiago city is split in two areas: the Old Town (Zona Vella), and the New Town (Zona Nova). You can also venture into the New Town, wrapped around the historic quarter and a short walk away where you will find many stores.

DAY 8: Guided city tour
and return to Dublin

On your last morning you will have breakfast in the hotel and check out at 10am. Your local guide will then meet you at the hotel to take you on a guided tour of a the city. You will then have a visit to the cathedral after the city tour. Following the tour, you will have a little free time to get lunch and some souvenir shopping, before returning to the hotel to collect your bags. The group will then be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Dublin.

We board our luxury Coach and make our way to the Rosses area of County Donegal to The
Waterfront Hotel in Dunglow. Post a welcome check-in by the Management and Staff at The
Waterfront Hotel we enjoy dinner at 7.30pm with light entertainment.

Tuesday 14th of May 2024

Post a full Irish Breakfast we make our way towards southwest Donegal passing the towns
of Glenties and Ardara, going up the Glengesh Pass and visiting the Village of Cashel in Glencolmcille where we commence our
first tour at Fr. Mc Dyre’s Folk Village. Fr.
Mc Dyer was a very well-known priest
in the area, and we travel to one of the
projects he set up in this rural area
the Glencolmcille Folk Village which
are made up of a cluster of several
small cottages perched on a hillside
overlooking the sandy curve of Glen Bay
Beach in southwest Donegal.
Post our trip to The Folk Village in
Glencolmcille, we stop off at the famous
Rusty Mackeral Bar.
We make our way to the stunning Slieve a
League Cliffs which are the 2nd Highest
Sea Cliffs in Europe. We make our way
back to the Hotel for our evening meal
served at 7pm.

Wednesday 15th of May 2024

We have breakfast this morning at 8am and leave the Hotel at 10am and travel over the road to see where International Star Daniel O Donnell grew up. We highlight where he now resides with his wife Majella after doing up his home with architect Dermot Bannon. We visit the village of Kincasslagh and see where Daniel worked with his first job at the Cope Supermarket and see where he got married to the love of his life Majella. From here we make our way to the Crolly Distillery and sample some whisky along the way. We hear the story of the techniques and processes it takes to art the skill of Ireland’s leading whisky. We return after a song and dance to the Hotel for Dinner.

Thursday 16th of May 2024

This morning after a hearty breakfast we
travel to Glenveagh National Park to do
an official tour of the Castle. We hear the
story of the Mc Elhinney Family and how
one of the previous family owners of the
castle disappeared mysteriously without
a trace. The last person to see Kingsley’s
Porter alive was his wife!!!!
Post Lunch we travel to Wild Ireland
where we get up close and personal with
Bears, Wolves, Wild Boars, Monkeys and
so much more.
We return to the Hotel for Farewell Dinner
and some entertainment.

Friday 17th of May 2024

After a hearthy breakfast it is time to
bid Dunglow and the hills of Donegal
a fond farewell after an enjoyable and
entertaining few days away. We return to
our original pick up points stopping off
along the way for some lunch at your own

Day 1 – Flight from Dublin to Memphis

Today we will depart on our flight from Dublin to Memphis via Atlanta. On arrival in Memphis
we will board the bus that will transfer us to our hotel

Day 2 – Graceland Mansion, Automobile Museum & Dyess

On our second day we will visit Graceland Mansion, iconic home of Elvis Presley and the Elvis
Presley Entertainment Complex. Lunch at Graceland included.
We will enjoy a self-guided tour of the ‘Automobile Museum’ and Elvis’s two planes. We will
drive to Dyess, Arkansas, and visit the refurbished Administration Building and Museum as
well as a visit to the restored Johnny Cash Boyhood Home. On return to Memphis there will be
time to explore Beale Street

Day 3 – Tupelo & Memphis. Guided tour of Sun Studio

We will drive to Tupelo, Mississippi, tour the Elvis Presley Birthplace. The complex chronicles
the first 13 years of Elvis Presley’s life. It includes the house that Elvis was born in.
On return to Memphis take a guided tour of Sun Studio, one of the most famous recording
studios in the world; where Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins recorded.

Day 4 – Memphis to Nashville

Today we will depart Memphis and drive to Nashville where we will stop at the Old Country
Store in Jackson for lunch (included) . We will arrive in Nashville in the afternoon and check
into our hotel.
Tonight we will attend a show at the Grand Ole Opry one of the most popular cultural spots
Nashville has to offer

Day 5 – Opry Mills Mall & Nightlife Dinner Theatre

Today, we will spend the afternoon shopping at the Opry Mills Mall. Tonight we will attend the
Nashville Nightlife Dinner Theatre, to see the ‘Best of Country Show’ & enjoy a lovely Dinner
(included).

Day 6 – RCA Studio B, Ryman Auditorium & Country Music Hall of Fame

Today we will enjoy a guided tour of ‘RCA Studio B,’ home of 1000 hits, followed by a selfguided tour of the Ryman Auditorium ‘The Mother Church of Country Music’, afterwards there
will be a tour to the ‘Country Music Hall of Fame’. Then, free time on Broadway to experience
Nashville’s music, check out the shops, bars and restaurants.

Day 7 – Nashville to Pigeon Forge

We will drive from Nashville to Sevierville in East Tennessee, stopping at the Tanger Outlets.
In the afternoon we will check into our hotel in Pigeon Forge. We will also enjoy a Buffet dinner
(included) before attending a show at the ‘Country Tonite Theatre,’ voted the best show in the
Smokies for the past 25 years.

Day 8 – Dollywood

Today will be spent in Dollywood, Dolly Parton’s theme park in the Great Smoky Mountains.
This evening we will eat Southern Style, when attending Dolly Parton’s Stampede Show and
dinner (included).

Day 9 – Pigeon Forge to Knoxville Airport

Today we will depart Pigeon Forge and drive to Knoxville Airport to check in for flight to Dublin
via Atlanta.

Day 10 – Flight home

We arrive in Ireland today after our incredible United States of America tour.

Today you will be welcomed by our friendly

DAY 2: BUDA CASTLE AND BOAT TRIP ON THE DANUBE

city further. In the late afternoon, we travel
to Vienna and check into our hotel there.

DAY 5: GUIDED TOUR OF VIENNA

After breakfast, we will start the day with a guided walking tour of Vienna,
followed by a visit to the elegant Hofberg Palace. After some free time for the
group to have lunch, we will visit the Schönbrunn Palace in the afternoon.

DAY 1: DUBLIN TO ROME

DAY 2: VATICAN CITY AND

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Vatican City and St. Peters Basilica. After some free time for lunch, we will head to the centre of the city and have a guided tour taking in the magnificent Colosseum, the ruins of the once mighty Roman Forum and the most ancient part of Rome itself the Palatine

DAY 4: NAPLES AND POMPEII

Today we will leave Rome behind and travel to Naples where we will enjoy a Panoramic Coach tour of the city followed by free time before continuing
on to Pompeii. Once we arrive in Pompeii we will
tour this famous archaeological site, a Roman city
destroyed in 79 CE when nearby Mount Vesuvius
erupted. This site is one of the most famous
archaeological sites in the world. From here we
will travel a short while to Sorrento and check into
our hotel.

DAY 5: SORRENTO

This morning we will be taking part in a wonderful
sightseeing tour of Sorrento followed by a day
for resting, relaxing and enjoying the famous
Italian sun by the pool or wandering through the
fabulous restaurants and shops of this beautiful
location.

DAY 6: AMALFI COAST

After breakfast, we will start a full-day tour by
coach of the Amalfi Coast which by all accounts
is one of the most picturesque locations in
Europe. Today’s stunning views will leave a
lasting impression. Named an outstanding
example of Mediterranean landscape by
UNESCO, the Amalfi Coast is one of Italy’s most
striking destinations. Mountains, sheer cliffs, a
rugged shoreline dotted with small beaches and
beautiful pastel-coloured fishing villages line the
coast.

 

DAY 7: ISLAND OF CAPRI

Once we have had breakfast we will catch a ferry
to a gorgeous island just off the coast in the Bay
of Naples. The Island of Capri is filled with natural
sites like the Blue Grotto, shopping from designer
fashions to limoncello and handmade leather
sandals, boat tours and so much more. All of
this will be yours to explore today at your leisure.
Once we are finished on the Island we will return
to the lovely Sorrento to our Hotel.

 

DAY 8: BACK TO DUBLIN

We will say goodbye to this amazing country right
after we get one more lovely Italian breakfast and
begin our journey home.

Today you will arrive at Dublin Airport for your morning flight to Malta. You will arrive in Malta around lunch time and transfer to your hotel where you will have a free afternoon to relax at the hotel.

Today after breakfast you will enjoy a morning walking tour around Valletta. You will have free time for lunch and also the afternoon free to explore the city further.

DAY 4: CITY OF MDINA AND
SIGHTSEEING

You’ll have a full day tour of the fortified city
of Mdina. We’ll then stop at the Christian
catacombs of St Paul in Rabat and visit the
cliffs at Dingli before some time for lunch.
After lunch, we’ll visit San Anton botanical
gardens, the crafts centre at Ta’Quail, and
Mosta, home to one of Europe’s largest and
most impressive domes.

DAY 5: FREE DAY TO EXPLORE

Today you have the full day free to explore the area at your leisure or to relax at the hotel.
Our local guide will offer recommendations on things to see and do in the area.

DAY 6: VITTORIOSA, COSPICUA, SENGLEA & SLIEMA

After breakfast today you will enjoy a guided tour of the quaint streets of Vittoriosa, we
will visit Senglea Garden. In the afternoon there will be further free time in the bustling
seaside town of Sliema, to enjoy its seafront promenade, cafes and shops, before
returning to the hotel.

DAY 7: GOZO, MGARR HARBOUR, ĠGANTIJA, VICTORIA & DWEJRA

Today you will have a full day guided tour to the island of Gozo. After a short ferry
crossing, we will visit Mgarr harbour before continuing to the Megalithic temples of
Ggantija. Next, we will discover Gozo’s medieval capital Victoria, followed by a visit to the
fjord-like bay at Xlendi and the inland sea at Dwejra. The afternoon is free time to shop in
local craft stores and soak up the atmosphere before returning to the hotel.

DAY 8: DEPART TO DUBLIN

Today we will have breakfast in the hotel, followed by check out, before travelling to the
airport for a late morning flight back to Dublin.

DAY 1: DUBLIN TO ICELAND – BLUE
LAGOON AND NORTHERN LIGHTS

You will be welcomed by our friendly tour
guide to assist with check in at Dublin Airport
before flying to Iceland. On arrival the group
will be transported to the Blue Lagoon Spa
to spend a relaxing afternoon, before making
our way to the hotel to rest and relax. Later
in the evening, weather permitting, the group
will embark on a hunt for the Northern Lights.
Depending on weather conditions, this activity
might take place on a different night.

DAY 2: GOLDEN CIRCLE TOUR

After breakfast at the hotel, we will travel to the

country’s most scenic regions, as far as
Vík. We will explore waterfalls, glaciers and
black sand beaches

DAY 4: BACK TO DUBLIN

Our early flight back to Dublin sees us
leave the hotel with a packed breakfast, to

DUSSELDORF

Check in at 5:10am at Dublin Airport Terminal 2 for our morning flight to Dusseldorf at 7:10am. We will be landing in Dusseldorf at 10am approximately. We will visit the fantastic Christmas Market in Dusseldorf and then travel to Cologne and check in at the hotel.

DAY 2 – COLOGNE

In the morning, the group will enjoy a guided tour of Cologne, followed by free time in the afternoon to explore the city’s traditional Christmas Markets.

DAY 3 – COLOGNE

With ten markets to explore including the Cologne Cathedral Christmas Market, Heinzels Wintermärchen at Heumarkt, Nicholas’ Village Christmas Market. and the Harbour Christmas Market you might find that you’re
happy to stay in Cologne for the rest of the trip. However, if you
would like to explore further afield, Bonn also has a beautiful
Christmas market in its town centre. The train from Cologne to
Bonn takes as little as 20 minutes and costs less than €10 each
way. Koblenz also has some very nice markets, and is a little
further away, taking around 1 hour 20 by train and costing around
€13 each way.

DAY 4 – COLOGNE TO DUBLIN

In the morning, we will have free time to explore Cologne city
further in the afternoon. The group will travel back to Dusseldorf
Airport around 16:45 for our flight back to Dublin at 20:30.

DAY 1: DEPART DUBLIN, ARRIVE
MEMPHIS

You will be welcomed by your friendly tour guide at Dublin Airport before flying to Memphis via Atlanta. You will be given the evening free to relax and rest after your travels or to explore at your own leisure.

DAY 2: MEMPHIS – VISIT SUN
STUDIOS & GRACELAND

Early this morning we begin our exploration of the stronghold of rock & roll, Memphis. We will also be visiting one of the most famous recording studios in the world Sun Studios “The Birthplace of Rock n Roll”. Johnny.Cash, Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins are just a few of the big names to record here.
We will then settle into our last hotel for the
tour. In the afternoon, you will be taking in
the truly unbelievable Graceland mansion
seeing how the King lived and paying
respects at the grave of Elvis and his
family. We will then settle into our last hotel
for the tour.

DAY 3: TRAVEL TO NASHVILLE &
LORETTA LYNN RANCH

This morning we depart Memphis to head
for Nashville, with a stop en route at the
Ranch of the late Loretta Lynn to pay our
respects. We continue to Nashville in the
afternoon and check in to your hotel there.

DAY 4: GENERAL JACKSON & MADAME TUSSAUDS

Experience an incredible Country music show and lunch on the General Jackson
Showboat, which is one of the many highlights of our amazing USA / Nashville tour.
Once we have finished our cruise you will get to “meet” face-to-face with a huge range
of waxwork recreations for the biggest stars in music and more in the fabulous Madame
Tussauds.

 

DAY 5: FREE DAY TO EXPLORE

Today you have the full day to free explore the area at leisure or relax at the hotel. The
local guide will offer recommendations on things to see and do in the area.

 

DAY 6: RYMAN AUDITORIUM TOUR, COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME & RCA
STUDIO B, GRAN OLE OPRY SHOW

We have a jam-packed day of amazing locations steeped in music history and even a
live show. The fantastic Ryman Auditorium, The Country Music Hall of Fame and the
legendary RCA Studio B, which collects and preserves the evolving rich history and
traditions of country music, followed by a show at the Grand Ole Opry one of the most
popular cultural spots Nashville has to offer.

 

DAY 7: TRAVEL TO PIGEON FORGE

Once we have finished our first American breakfast, we travel towards Pigeon Forge, with
a stop in Knoxville in the afternoon on the way. Check in to Dollywood resort for 2 night
stay.

 

DAY 8: FULL DAY DOLLYWOOD

Today you will have a full day at the amazing Dollywood resort which impressed our tour
so much last year that we have ensured more time to take in everything that Dolly Parton’s
magnificent 160-acre park has to offer.

DAY 9: TRANSFER TO KNOXVILLE AIRPORT

This morning you will enjoy breakfast in your hotel, before checking out and travelling to
Knoxville airport. We fly via Atlanta and arrive back into Dublin next morning.

DAY 10: ARRIVING IN IRELAND

We arrive in Ireland early today after our incredible United States of America tour.
